Russian criminal tattoo is characterized by brutal lines, unstable thickness of outline, hand-written coursive letters and symmetry. Also it has a very specific set of symbols like starts, crosses, birds, roses, churches, etc.

For the poster I used some of the most common features and symbols of actual criminal tattoo to make a “prison tattoo” on a tree. Wood burning technique helped to carve brulally looking outline.
